濃州関住服部正廣 Noshu Sekiju Hattori Masahiro
Hattori Masahiro, a swordsmith of Noshu Seki, was active during the Showa period. Due to an eight-year ban on sword-making imposed by the American occupation after the war, he was unable to produce Japanese swords during that time. As a result, he was unable to fully resume his craft after the war, and no postwar works remain. This sword is therefore a rare and valuable piece, serving as proof of Hattori Masahiro’s identity as a swordsmith.
